About Railway Day Nursery Epsom

For more than 25 years, Railway Day Nursery Epsom has been providing a warm, caring and nurturing environment for children aged 0–5 years.

As an independent nursery serving local families, we are committed to helping every child feel safe, happy and confident while supporting their individual development through play, exploration and meaningful early years experiences.

Our Story

Caring for Epsom Families Since 1998

Since opening our doors in 1998, Railway Day Nursery Epsom has been part of the local community, welcoming generations of young children and supporting families during their children’s important early years.

Over the years, our commitment has remained simple: to provide children with a safe, caring and stimulating place where they can learn, play and grow at their own pace.

We understand that choosing a nursery is a big decision for parents. Leaving your child in someone else’s care requires trust, which is why we aim to create an environment where children feel secure and parents feel confident that their child is being cared for with patience, kindness and understanding.

Today, we continue to provide childcare for children aged 0–5 years, combining the importance of nurturing care with opportunities for learning, creativity, independence and discovery.

A Nursery Built on Experience, Care and Trust

1998

Our journey began in 1998, with a commitment to providing quality early years care for local families in Epsom.

Growing Together

As the years have passed, our nursery has continued to welcome young children and support families through the early stages of their children's lives.

Today

Railway Day Nursery continues to provide a nurturing environment for children aged 0–5 years, with learning and development supported through the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

Looking Ahead

While our nursery has a long history, our focus remains firmly on the children and families we care for today — continuing to provide a positive foundation for every child's future.

What Matters to Us

A Warm and Nurturing Start to Life

We believe children learn best when they feel safe, secure, valued and happy.

That’s why we focus on creating a welcoming environment where children can build trusting relationships, explore their interests and develop confidence through everyday experiences and play.

Our approach is centred around the individual child. Every child develops differently, and we take the time to understand their interests, needs and stage of development.

Through play-based learning and carefully planned experiences, we encourage children to become curious, confident and increasingly independent as they grow.

Our Values

What We Believe In

Care

Every child deserves to feel loved, valued and supported. We provide a caring environment where children can develop secure relationships and feel comfortable being themselves.

Safety & Security

Children need to feel safe before they can confidently explore and learn. We provide a welcoming environment where their wellbeing is always important.

Individual Growth

Every child is unique. We recognise individual interests, abilities and stages of development, helping children progress at their own pace.

Curiosity & Creativity

We encourage children to ask questions, explore their surroundings and express themselves through play, creativity and discovery.

Respect

We encourage children to develop positive relationships with others, learn to share and communicate, and understand the importance of kindness and respect.

Confidence

Our aim is to help children become confident learners who feel comfortable trying new things, making choices and developing their independence.

Our Commitment

Every Child Matters

We know that no two children are exactly alike.

Some children may confidently explore a new environment straight away, while others need more time to settle and build relationships. We understand that every child has their own personality, interests and pace of development.

Our team works to create an environment where children can feel comfortable, supported and encouraged as they grow.

From their first days at nursery through to their transition towards school, we aim to give every child the care, encouragement and learning experiences they need to develop their confidence and independence.
